Thy Will Be Done

I am watching the political race and I’m also experiencing something similar at my own place of employment. As I spoke to a friend the other day, only one word came to mind about all of this, ‘disillusioned.’  But the Lord keeps reminding me that everything is in His hands and this is all part of His plan.

My job is prayer and to take a stand for His righteousness. I have been grieved by so much pain which has been caused in my own personal life and the lives of so many other’s because of this greed.I don’t wage war for the material, or I would be like the people I am battling.  And it is the ultimate bully, of our souls, who pulls the strings of man. He drives men’s hearts to desire that which is evil. Again and again,we are told in scripture, “You do not war against flesh and blood. But against powers, principalities, and rulers of this ‘dark world.'” This is our chapter in spiritual warfare Ephesians 6) and it is extremely important that believers understand this Especially when we come up against these powers. They operate through people.

This is why Paul exhorted us to remember our battle. He says, “We are  not ignorant of Satan’s devices.” He’s tricky, deceptive as can be. Always trying to distract the real focus and goal in mind.  As frustrated and hurt that I may be, I constantly think of those people in the grips of the enemy’s hands. And I pray, “that they escape from the snare of the enemy who has taken them captive to do his will.”

This discussion is one which I had with a person the other day. I was told that this person “was in the real world,” and it isn’t pretty. As if I’m unaware for some reason. The impression seemed to be, that I was fighting for some kind of “pay-back,” for what I feel has been stolen. That feeling of giving anything back to me, is nonexistent. I’m not emotional about that. When it comes to injustice, I do get emotional. I see it as righteous anger. I know I’m impulsive and brash, at times. I’d say if I compared myself to any disciple, it would be a combination of Peter’s temper and Paul’s ability to talk. Yes, Peter cut off the ear of a guard at Jesus arrest, and His words, are constantly ringing in my own, “He who lives by the sword also dies, by the sword.” But hey, as much as Peter screwed up look at the Lords, love for him. And when I think of Paul and his preaching until a man fell out of the window and died, only to have him come out and have to resurrect him, I have to laugh. I know that’s been a fairly good description of me at times as well. But here again, the man used to murder Christian’s, and look at what God can do with a life consecrated to Him?

Of course, the Lord has told us that, “we are in this world, but not of it.” But this doesn’t  make me immune to it. In fact, I would dare to say, I’ve suffered more direct hits from the enemy than most. In his attempts to thwart my faith, I have endured the most intense suffering. But my faith has only grown stronger through it all. I can tell people that the enemy is real, he wants to rob you of your faith, kill and destroy you.” This is a reality. I’ve done hand-to hand combat with him. If you want to talk about what isn’t pretty, this isn’t. But how far are you willing to go to save the souls, that are being stolen by him? And let me tell you, if you are real about loving His people, you will be under spiritual attack. But the Lord has promised, “His ministering angels who minister to all the heirs of salvation.”

The injustice perpetrated upon people, is something which the enemy has done by using his strategy of corruption within the hearts of men. Those men are also captive. They may be at a higher level of income, but captives to Satan’s devices, nonetheless.

My lifetime has been a sacrifice of caring for the needs of others, and I don’t look for income to impress anyone. Because I don’t need this gratification, I don’t find myself striving for the same things as others. I feel a deep compassion when people are hurt, and the person I was speaking with made the valid point that people “above me only care about money, not us.” Of course I know this is true, generally speaking, but just as there are exceptions to every rule, I would say, I found someone above me, who had a soft heart. Full of compassion and by the same token, there are people in the lowest income bracket which are also full of greed. This is not isolated to levels of society. It is sin, plain and simple. But in the end, it is the One, above all, who gives me grace and supplies my needs, so that I have what I need for the battle.

The Lord is King of all Kings, yet He said that He had come to this earth “to serve, and not to be served.” Well, then why would we be more important than our own creator? No, you see, my eyes are not clouded by this world and indeed, I could say I probably see a clearer picture, than some who claim to be “in the real world.” The truth is that, “the real world,” is not this material at all, but the spiritual behind the scenes. This is where we, (kingdom people) do our battle. Interceding and going where the Lord sends us. I have the discernment of the Holy Spirit as my guide. He leads me into the dark places to shine His light of truth. It makes some very uncomfortable, and others are drawn to it.

But in the end, He is the only one who can lead the way out of darkness. Because as we know, light penetrates darkness and it is not the other way around. The true world is the one which our Lord has designed. It is not corrupted by man and his sinful desires. Which we know is ruled by the ‘god of this age.’ This present kingdom will have its conclusion and the Lord’s kingdom will supplant this ‘real world.” This is why “the government is upon His shoulders and His kingdom shall have no end.”

But He has placed His people on this earth with a commission from Him, and He has told us that He has anointed us for this task. So there is no place which He sends us, where He does not anoint us. The anointing comes from a life of surrender. You don’t seclude yourself from the world, but “go into all the world.”

I had a pastor who used to say, “If you pray for anything for me, pray for my anointing.” Yes, this is a worthy prayer. The anointing is what breaks the yoke of bondage. It is not something which one can get from teachings or sitting in church. Indeed, Christ, spent very little time in “church.” (temple) You will see, the anointing requires action. It is the ‘precious gift inside these earthen vessels.” It cannot be stolen nor, can it be given to others. You can pray for it though, and the Lord gives freely to all who ask. So, as the kingdom of darkness grows darker, continue to pray, His will be done, in your life and the lives of others. In this way, this laying down of your desires, is the beginning of receiving the most important gift of all.

You Say, “I Am Rich, and Do Not Need A Thing”

One Nation Under God

“But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked.

“I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes,  so you can see. Those whom I love, I rebuke and discipline! So be earnest and repent.

Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.” Revelation 3:17-19

Wow, the insights into this portion of scripture are endless as a word to the church age, the nations and to me personally.

It has been a painful journey to be sure and nothing painful comes without cost. But this is what the Lord has stated in this Revelation. Look at our country as an example.

We have desired to remove His presence and proclaim ourselves as pagans in actions and deeds. Separating His name from everything. The apostasy of nations and all being offended at His holy name. Yet Moloch and the pagan gods have their rituals and no one bothers to see the shame. The Bohemian Club practices and  such pagan rituals are looked at as fun and games, even though they extend to people in the highest ranks of our society. It is incredible and  our Lord, has already told us we shall be under judgment  for turning away from Him.

Now we can see the Lord speaking to Laodicea, that she believes to be so rich, in need of nothing.” Self-righteous.  I just heard someone speak the other day that they had faith, in their faith. I had absolutely no understanding in this whatsoever. Since we cannot depend upon a salvation based on faith in faith. We cannot save ourselves. If this were even a remote possibility, we would have had no need of a sacrifice and would have seen someone achieve god status long ago. It just isn’t possible.

Now when Christ “counseled us to buy gold refined in the fire.” First I noticed that there is a price to be paid. Many believers that come to faith in Christ think that a confession of faith is the end as well. So, this is also not the answer. We cannot put “faith in faith.” But it’s also not enough to just say, I believe in Christ and now I have faith in Christ, so I’m saved.” Yes it’s true “it is by grace we are saved and not by works, lest any man should boast, yet the Lord tells us, that we shall be walking as overcomers in this world. In direct opposition to it.

For Christ said, “Even the demons believe and they tremble.” He’s telling us there is more to this walk. It is overcoming. Read the message to all seven churches in Revelation. At the end of each one he says, “To him who overcomes.”

So, what is the price of gold refined by the fire? Well, as most people know, and especially in this day when gold prices are at an all time high, the more  ore  that is in gold, the more impurities. The more intense the fire, the more the impurities will be burned out and the  more refined the gold becomes. In fact, the gold will become liquid in its most pure form.

I would believe this process is for those believers that are willing to become ‘sold out,’ to Him. The world’s riches are worthless refuse as we draw closer to Him.

Next, He tells us”to purchase white garments to wear to cover our shameful nakedness.” How can this be done? if we are covering ourselves? The term ‘covering up’ came from somewhere. You can cover yourself, or become transparent, and allow Him to cover you with His white garments. Yes, this is difficult. The world and its system would say, don’t say anything, unless you get caught. Blah, blah, blah. That is not the Lords truth. He delivers us from evil and this is the way He does it. On that day of His return, we can be wearing the wedding garments that He has bestowed upon us or our own worldly garments to hide ourselves and as we can see from the story in scripture, those invited to the Wedding feast without His garments are not invited in.

He has shown me in so many ways. Everyone builds altars and has false images. Even if it is a false image that we have created of ourselves and we bow down to this false image. He wants us to tear it down.Yes, I was so hurt when I would find that the people I cared about would sit in judgment of me and believed lies about me. That’s when I heard the voice of the Lord speaking to me after reading these scriptures. “Why defend yourself? Let me be your covering.” Then I remembered, yes, it’s true. The truth is, I’m so much worse than the lies, that why do I fight back? As the Lord said, “let the one who is without sin, cast the first stone.”  It is only through this humility that He can really clothe us. So if our faith is in Christ then as Paul stated, our  identity is to be in Christ.

The last thing that He speaks is to “buy eye salve so that you can see.” This is the eye salve of truth. This is once again, a painful price to pay. Some people never want to see the truth. Of course it’s the cliche, “You can’t handle the truth!” The sad thing is that most of us can’t.  If we want His ‘all consuming fire’ to burn the impurities from us, then we must be willing to purchase this eye salve. Yes, it has been painful for me. Every day, I see something devastating from my past. Things that I thought were buried so deep, I lived a different lifetime and would never have to remember again. “Yes, the Lord tells me, You must look at all of this.”

Yes, I was so offended. I was so hurt, by others in my life, yet I had forgotten how much I had been forgiven. How could this be? Now I knew what impurities the Lord was burning on this altar of suffering. I have been in a fire of torment and doors closing in my face by His hand and I would cry out to Him, “Why?” Oh, did I really purchase this eye salve with my prayers? That the answer should come back in a wave of such devastation. It took everything out of me. That I could hardly get out of my bed. Yet his words came to me, “A bruised reed He will not break, nor a smoldering wick He will not snuff out.” Isaiah 42:3

He reminded me that He was with me when the horrific things happened to me and when I made the wrong choices as well. Even when I disgraced Him and He is not like man, He longs to forgive us when we acknowledge our need of Him. Everyone, not just me, but “for those that have been forgiven much, love much.”

Because you have been forgiven, does not mean, you can remain silent. It’s time to remember and to become the one I’ve chosen you to become. WE don’t close the door and say “oh that was B.C. and it doesn’t count. He wants to deal with all of it. Not to bring us harm but for our good. “I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11)

“Those whom I love, I rebuke and discipline. When our nation and even our world understands this and turns to Him, we will be blessed and set free.

The King Is Coming Soon!

I watched a program on the History Channel the other night and it was all about the prophesies of Nostradamus and others. It was quite fascinating, although, I don’t really put a lot of faith in the prophetic, unless the person to whom the prophesy is flowing is submitted to the Lord.

I listened and wondered why mankind is always trying to figure out what God has already spoken in His Word. Open it up! It’s all there. The Lord gave us signs and markers and so did all of the prophets before and after His final resurrection to sit beside the Father.

Yes, read Revelation and the earlier words from the prophet Daniel. Daniel was told by the angel, “these words shall be sealed up until the end, when people are running to and fro, seeking knowledge. We are now living in what has been termed the “information age.” All the signs that Christ had spoken of before His return have been fulfilled. These all center around Israel, “the apple of Gods eye.”

The internet is the information, superhighway, and now I have also learned about the  Webbot Project. It searches all of the internet to try to predict future events. It is an interesting website, however, as I said, only one source would be needed for this endeavor. The Word of God. Yes, the book of Revelation and its words are repeated as one source, however. so many others are listed that to my knowledge, it’s confusing.

Lets, keep it simple. Read your bible and prepare for the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, to make His return!
