Wrestling Against Spirits

As I prayed last night, felt restless. I couldn’t sleep. My ankle was hurting and I rested it on a pillow. How long will this continue to hurt, Lord? He took me into scriptures to remind me that our afflictions are a direct picture of things taking place in the spiritual realm.

The apostle Paul had told us that, “all things natural, speak to the eternal things of God.” I have always kept this in mind when dealing with things in my life. “What does this mean Lord? Why is this happening? He reminded me of His words to Eve and the Serpent. “I shall put enmity between you and the woman. Between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.” (Genesis 3:15)

Yes, this was always interesting to me. First that women, do not carry the seed, so our Lord was already speaking future tense, to the virgin birth, of Jesus Christ. But the offspring of the serpent and the Lord would be at war. His second part of this scripture is to tell us the outcome. Although the serpent would inflict great pain, with the “striking of the heel, it is not a fatal blow. The “crushing of his head,” is the fatal blow. This happened with the crucifixion. We represent Him on this earth. So we are to walk in His power and authority.

So I know that I am constantly at war. Praying and battling the enemy. Lifting up my loved ones and coming against him in my spirit. He may be relentless, but so am I. The Lord given us instructions in this war. “Submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7)

Many people interpret this to mean, ‘ignore, or turn away from temptation. But this is not the correct interpretation at all. If we look at this in the original language, the word is; anthistemi and it means; to stand against, oppose,  or withstand.

So He’s telling us we will be under attack and to stand against this onslaught. It is a military term. He had already told us that we have the covenant but the enemy of our souls is only going to take what he can. Just as in a war, the enemy tries to take the land. We must occupy and not give in. Not with ourselves, or our loved ones. We must continue to oppose him. When he sees it is not an easy target, he will flee. But note this; he will return. He will never stop trying.

We are told in scripture that, the enemy comes to rob, to kill and to destroy. But Jesus Christ comes to give life, and life abundantly.” So we know the plans the enemy has, and if we lay down and let him, he’ll take our life and the life of our loved ones. So stand firm!

I had a dream last night. My fence in the back came toppling down, like an accordion. Now I just had a new fence put up and I saw it in my dream. It was just what I had seen when the hurricane came through here one year. My whole fence just toppled inward. I ran to bolster it up again. Well, as I said, our Lord speaks to us, if we have ears to listen. In dreams, visions and through people.

Because I felt so unsettled this morning, I began to read the Psalms. I opened to Psalm 62 and I read; “How long will you assault a man? Would all of you throw him down-this leaning wall, this tottering fence? They fully intend to topple him from this lofty place; they take delight in lies. With their mouths they bless, but in their hearts they curse. Find rest, oh my soul, in God alone.”

God confirms His words. He allowed me to search for the meaning and remind me of the warfare. He reminded me that my hope comes in the name of the Lord. I then thought of my ankle once more. He showed me that although I am in pain, my enemy has already been defeated. He told me that He has given me, All power and authority to trample the scorpions and serpents, and the mighty lion and cobra.” But He didn’t say that it wouldn’t hurt.

He also told us that” we are not wrestling against flesh and blood.” He uses this word wrestle, or ballow-to throw, (more or less violent or intense):arise, cast out, dung, lay, lie, pour, put up, send,  strike, throw down, thrust. We can see this is very serious combat, and in this part of scripture, we are also given our tools to fight this battle. (Ephesians 6)

There is war in the heaven’s, and I’m not backing down. I had a devotional with my son the other day and we were reading about the darkness and the light. We cannot, “throw out darkness.” We can only let the light in, to combat darkness. This is what I see so many people trying to do. On their own strength, they try to battle against the darkness. They try to be good enough on their own merits. It’s impossible. He tells us that “It is not by might nor power, but by His Spirit, that we overcome. We can only surrender to Him, the Light of the World, in order to drive out the darkness. This is what our redemption means. It is not only salvation but deliverance.

So, I stand firm and resist the enemy. I stand for myself and everyone the Lord has in my life. I know what a mess I was until I let His light come in. I’ve been redeemed.

I’m Boycotting Xmas!

My Words will never pass away

My Words will never pass away

That’s right. I’m boycotting this. It’s a heartbreaking holiday, which I have found most people don’t understand. People filled with hate, still honor a god, whom they do not know. They pay homage, to Xmas, or Santa, or St. Nick. Or whatever else they may deem, their god.

The stores are itching their greedy palms in anticipation of this one day. The advertisements on tv are ripe with words of enticement. We should want this. This is the next big thing.

Really? Because this is the one time a year, people think they are expected to be nice? And why is that? Jesus Christ cannot be mentioned, except in curse or jest. The name, so offensive to some that the holiday, named after Him, can no longer carry His name. He has been ‘X’d out. A censor which has people walking on eggshells, lest we offend. Yet, these same, celebrate this day.

I listen to stories of people being robbed of money in mall parking lots. People breaking into homes to steal the gifts under the tree. The stories of suicides increasing at this time of the year. And the latest tragedy; innocent children gunned down.

As these little ones anticipated this holiday or perhaps this holiday season, they were violently snatched from this life. I watched the memorial last night and couldn’t bear the thought of these parents. Notes and stuffed animals piled up on the walkway. Candles to memorialize all of those lives.

I thought of my own tree and how it must feel for some of those parents. Gifts under the tree and yet no one to open them. Oh, how I wept. I was sobbing. It seemed no way of stopping the flow of tears. The pain is so unbearable, and yet, I’m a stranger.

But the Lord reminded me, that the true meaning of Christmas is that He was also torn from this life. Yet, His plan was to come to us. Immanuel, God with us. And knowing what a horrible death this would be. Yet, the violence of mankind was no different then. The heart of man is evil.  He has told us this. “The heart of man is wicked. Who can know it?” There were men who longed to spill His blood. Hateful and vengeful. Yet, they are the same ones who set aside this day to honor Him. And hate the rest of the year.

But Christ told us, “That no man takes my life, but I lay it down willingly, so that mankind may be saved.” Yes, He knew the plan, and yet He went through with it. For our sake. And He was an innocent, condemned to death. But He tells us, He is a man who has suffered all things.” He surely knows the sorrow we feel and He is here to comfort us.

Our Lord does not make evil happen. There is still a plan. Only He knows. We cannot understand why these terrible things happen. Our hearts reel with pain, as we try to find reasons. But He has a timetable to end this. And He has provided a way for us.A light in this darkness. A way for us to hold on to comfort. ” He layed His life down willingly, only to take it up again.” This is why we can celebrate. We will see our loved ones again.Like a bad dream, this will end. “And He will wipe every tear from our eyes.”

When King David lost his child. He fasted and wept, in the hopes of sparing this baby’s life. But after the baby died, his servant wanted to know why, he now got up to dress and eat. He told him, that his baby was with the Lord. “And he will not come to me, but I will go to him one day.”

This is the hope within each of us. This is what CHRISTmas is. And this we celebrate, every day of our lives. And what honors Him on this day and every day is, “The love we have, one for another.” Laying down our lives for another. This is the true HOLY day.

As Paul stated in scripture, “If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are to be pitied more than all men.” So, I am boycotting, Xmas, and celebrating, the birth, death and rebirth of our Savior, Jesus Christ! 1Corinthians 15:19

Peace and blessings to all of you.

Our Lord will guide us!

A pillar of cloud to guide us!

A pillar of cloud to guide us!

As I watched the horror unfolding at the school in Connecticut, yesterday, I was reminded that our Lord holds this world in His hands. He told us that it would continue to become darker as the light would get brighter.

What does this mean? Well, if one is now forced to acknowledge evil in this world, then we must also understand that there is a force of good. A supreme being which controls this universe. The eyes of those in darkness are now opened to the Truth.

In the face of tragedy, those long-held beliefs of us becoming our own god, that truth is relative to each person. How can this be, when our own Lord tells us, “The heart of man is evil, who can know it?” We see that this cannot be. How can all of us live according to our own dictates? As this would mean that this horrible act of murder, is fine, if this was this man’s truth.

I was reading about Winston Churchill’s beliefs being challenged, when he was in the midst of war. All the philosophical ideas, which he purported, now came into question. As he realized none of them held up when facing his enemies. He revisted the Christian ideals which his nanny had instilled in him. He stated that it isn’t when times are easy, that people ponder the question of eternity.

No, we must acknowledge that there is a moral code, programmed into each human being. We know that these acts are evil. Our Lord told us in His Word, that “His laws have been written upon every mans heart, so that we have no excuse when we stand before Him.” (Hebrews 8:10)

Truth is absolute. It is one of our Lord’s names. He told us that by this Truth, we would also be hated, by those who choose to continue in their ways. But this Truth guides us and protects us. We must understand that we are in a world full of evil. But if we look to Him, for guidance, He will always lead us. He loves us and desires us to “turn to Him in our time of trouble. And He shall deliver us.”

The god of this present age, has tried to push Him out of the picture. Saying as the serpent did, in the garden, “Did God really say that you shouldn’t eat of this tree?” Questioning God’s authority is the beginning of our downward spiral. As a nation founded on God’s Word, and as a world system. We cannot move forward without His lead.

On my trip to Israel, the Lord reminded me of this in a very profound picture. As we stood around the Menorah, in front of the Knesset, we began to pray. Suddenly, clouds appeared as pillars, above the Menorah. It was a most incredible sight and I was grateful that I caught it on my camera.

A reminder that, “He would guide us as a pillar of cloud by day, and fire by night.” Of course this was just a word picture, but I knew He had done this same thing for Moses and the Israelites. To give them a concrete picture of His presence. I have show these pictures to many people. I don’t need this reminder, as some people do. But the Lord wanted me to share this very powerful picture with others, so they know, He is always watching over us.

His desire is that we turn to Him, as children run to their father’s in times of distress. We need to go back to the foundation. The very beginning. Where things began to turn bad. As Nehemiah did, we must also recognize that it is only with our God, that we can and must rebuild.

If it were not for our Lord, no one would have been able to escape Egypt. It is for this reason, He told them to depend solely, on Him. For guidance and all their needs, while wandering. Yes, He delivered them from Egypt. A picture of our world in this day. But because of their stubbornness, He allowed them to wander. Even in the midst of their wandering, He taught them, that all of their provision comes from Him.

But we as people, like to repeat history. And it is; HIS story. He allows us each to go our own way. But in spite of this, He provides for us. Until we can come to the realization, that He is our Father. And like a Father, He doesn’t want us to turn to Him, as children who are caught doing wrong. Or to get something in return. But He wants us to turn to Him out of love and devotion. And as the Prodigal Son came running, He stands with His arms opened wide! Patiently waiting for us to realize that this world has nothing to offer us. He loves us. Stop running and turn to Him.

The Veil that Covers

“Mom, why did God give us eyelids?” My son just asked me that question the other day? “Well, it’s for protection from the elements. Besides, when we sleep, we have to keep the light out and we have shields for total darkness.”

Now I was glad, he was asking about God’s creation in the whole process. At his age, sometimes, children just question, is God really behind the whole thing, or some alien life form. Or perhaps the big explosion, made these eyelids of mine. Yea, I’m thinking even my 14 year old son, wouldn’t be buying that story. The zombies make way more sense, than, “hey son, there was a big explosion in space and we all came together and your face was made. Oh, and eyelids were formed so you could blink and sleep. Isn’t that amazing?” He’d say, “Mom, you are really insane.” But look people. This is what is taught as a science in your schools to your kids. They razzle, dazzle them with a bunch of words, and make it sound like a science. By the time they come out they think it’s real. But if you break it down in simple terms, this is what they’re saying.

So, my son say’s,” why didn’t God just let our eyes get wet?” I had to laugh at the sound of all of us crying all day long. For some people with hardened hearts, it sure wouldn’t hurt. I think there are people that do things in this world, who haven’t shed a tear. At the heartbreak they have caused. They’ve never uttered the words, “I’m sorry,” to the people they have hurt. They have never bothered to humble themselves to anyone. So perhaps that would be a good idea. But that wasn’t God’s plan.

God has a plan and it is coming soon. It involves His church. He refers to His church as His bride. It is an amazing analogy as I will point out. Many on this earth have not understood. In scripture it is referred to as “a mystery.” Yes, this is because the Bride is veiled, until her time of revealing.

But veiled to whom? “And even if our gospel is veiled it is veiled to veiled to those who are perishing. 2 Corinthians4:3 Now the true church of the Lord is not a building, as many believe. He specifically told his followers, “You also are like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. (1Peter 2:5) The Lord does not deliberately veil the gospel. But what I see in this, is that there are some who are hardened and no matter how much you try to reach them, they are unwilling to soften. “So as the Holy Spirit says; “Today, if you hear his voice do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion, during the time of testing in the desert. (Hebrews 3:7,8)

I had a dream yesterday, that a young girl had asked for me to be some kind of a mentor to her. I don’t know if I was in a restaurant or what it was. But when we got together, she was so full of pride, she kept telling me the way it was going to be. Every time I opened my mouth, she started talking. It was as if, I was working for her, and she was my manager. She was haughty and sat towering over me, as if I was now applying for a position at her company. It was all very strange. Almost as if she just wanted me here to feed her pride. It made me wonder why I bothered coming here in the first place.  I kept my mouth shut, as the Lord reminded me, “I am opposed to the proud, but I give grace to the humble.” I realized the Lord was testing her heart.

Now, I told her, “Look, you are the one who contacted me to help you. But I cannot, if you keep trying to teach me.A student isn’t greater than the teacher. You have no experience in this area, yet you are not teachable. You will  not accept any help. I do know about this. I don’t want recognition, because I am not looking for it. But you just have made this a miserable experience. I’m afraid I will have to stop this.”

About a week later, she contacted me and asked me to help again. “I can’t do this. I really need your help. I know you can teach me, because you have experience.” “Ok,” I told her, “But this time, you will have to trust me.” I have some knowledge in this area.” The exact same thing happened. This girl rose up against me.  Every time I tried to show her something or, help her, she knew better. It was as if this was so deeply ingrained in her, she just couldn’t stop herself. She couldn’t receive direction from me. She was the same as the Lords description of the Jews in the desert, “stubborn and stiff-necked.” I couldn’t take it anymore. I said, “That’s it! You’re on your own! I have reached the end of trying to reach out to someone who wants to wallow in their own mess they’ve created. If the hand is extended and it is not taken, what can you do?” A few weeks later, I went by a fast food restaurant to pick up some food and I saw her. She was miserable and I wanted to cry. I said hello to her. She looked so sad. She had eyes, which were pleading with me, but I didn’t know what to say. I knew it was something which had to happen to break her of her pride.

This is heartbreaking in the eyes of the church. The church is God’s presence on this earth. This is why we pray, “Your kingdom come, on earth, as it is in heaven.” We are the earthen vessels, which carry this very precious treasure. The Holy Spirit. Which makes us the Holy Church. The veiled Bride. Yes, we come and we go. Into many people’s lives. Some recognize us, and some do not.

So there are many in this world who run to buildings of worship, to go to church. This is a verb. But our Lord uses the description to Peter as a noun. The true church, which our Lord is referring to, is a living breathing organism. Vessels, which are yielded for His use. Regenerated vessels, by the power of the Holy Spirit. So when we walk this earth, we Are the Church!

Now let’s look back at the examples of Jesus Christ. He went into temples. But very few times did we see these examples given to us in scripture. His core ministry was to the lost and it was out in the world. He did not find importance to impress with accolades of the priests. Human pride is the downfall of many. They too, did not recognize Him. He was our example.

He was persecuted by the Pharisees and the Saducees. All the teachers of the Law. They were filled with pride. They wanted to teach the teacher. They had no idea who stood before them. Their eyes, were veiled.

Then, the unthinkable; they blasphemed him. They told him his power came from the devil. They were all liars, yet, when they spoke against the Holy Spirit by calling him a liar, they were condemned. (Luke 12:10)

Now as, believers, we represent the true church. Yet many don’t see. The Lord tells us; “And I will ask the Father and He will give you another Advocate to help you and be with you forever-the Spirit of Truth. The world cannot accept Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you know Him, for He lives in you and will be in you.” (John 14:15-17)

So, we see here that many people in this world run to structures, which they call churches. They may have fellowship with one another. But the true church, presents itself to us. We do not run to it. And many times, as I know from my life. As I have gone forth to be a witness, I’ve been persecuted. People have grieved the Holy Spirit. Some have even blasphemed the Holy Spirit.

And remember the Lord told us that “if the world hates you, know that it hated Me before it hated you. (John 15:18) So, we are not in bad company if feeling persecuted for no particular reason. It is because we are indwelt by His Spirit.

There’s nothing wrong with going to structures for fellowship. However, many people are inside buildings and have no relationship to Christ. That is not to say that some people in those buildings have no relationship to Christ.  By the same token, many of the true church, do not run to buildings. Just like Christ and His disciples. They did not waste time, on buildings. They ministered as they went about their daily lives. Christ gave the commission, and made no mention of “making structures.” The problem was with Judas taking in the money, if you recall. Those disciples were to get their needs met by the people along the way. The true church, as they fed the gospel, they were fed, by the Father. Their, ‘daily bread.” There was no room for corruption. And the disciples continued to work at their jobs. Interesting isn’t it? I had a young girl tell me that “the church is a business.” Which clearly showed me her lack of understanding about what the capacity of the church really is.” But this is why our Lord entered into the temple with a whip and turned over the tables.

I had not been so keenly aware in my past. We are to be consecrated for His use. If someone is turned out, of the church. It is not punishment. It is for their own consecration. To preserve their soul. The Lord loves us so much and is willing to do everything possible to bring us back. Not willing that any man should perish. He speaks of His discipline “for our righteousness.”

Many times I had dragged the Lord into acts of unrighteousness without any understanding of the Holy Spirit in my life. To keep the temple holy. It meant nothing to me. I was stubborn and rebellious and thought it was just a bunch of words. The Lord had to train me through much suffering.

His desire is to present to Himself a radiant bride. Spotless and without blemish or wrinkle. So we must see that until this time, we will suffer to that end. So, the bride is on the earth making herself ready. She is presenting herself before the masses with a message of hope. Spreading the Good News. It is a message for all mankind. I’m praying that your bitterness does not enter in and the veil be removed. The Lord wants everyone to enter into His wedding feast.

The Spirit and the Bride say Come Lord Jesus!

The Wedding Feast

The Scribe

Well, I feel as if I’ve been through a serious battle and recovering once again. It wasn’t quite as serious as the time the enemy had laid me out for two years. I had literally been frozen. Incapacitated, with fear, because of his lies. Post traumatic stress. It had me in a deep depression and panic attacks would come and go. At times I thought I would never function again.

I’d forgotten many of Paul’s words to believer’s and the battle which we are waging. That we must remember the battle begins in the minds of believers, and this is the stronghold, which we must protect. It is where the those lies must be ‘crucified’ or they will become the basis of a belief system, which opposes faith.

It reminded me of my trip to Masada, the fortress in Israel. I went last March.  What a story of holding this fortress. I feel as if this is an analogy to my life. And Paul had a similar message to us; “Hold every thought captive to Jesus Christ.” When translating this it is a military term. What a word picture I had on my visit to Masada

There is a saying, “Masada will not fall again.” This is something which I hold on to.

I was watching my brother this morning as I thought about the terrible last few days of warfare, I had been under. I let the battle wage against me. He would have no idea and was just as content as could be. This is how I should be and this is exactly what the Lord was trying to show me.

How many times did He tell us to be like the little children? And here he is. With the mind of a child. Perpetually frozen in time. A constant reminder for me. Yes, when I brought my brother home to live, I think the agencies in my state were even shocked as they had been duped by the paperwork, that he had been somehow capable of having faculties, that he did not have.

He is a little boy in every way. Yet, he sits with pen in hand when the Pastor’s speak on Sunday. He copies everything he hears on tv. With his children’s bible which I had given him. I have wondered at times, what he”s writing, so I will take his notebooks and look.

It’s beautiful to see his notes. The word of God displayed in childlike scrawl. Our Lord tells us that  “The Word does not return void.”  Lord has also told us. And “Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.”

I have to laugh at how upset I had been just a few days earlier and I thought of  a story in the bible. It was King David in one of his battles. I thought of one account in particular, where he was surrounded by his enemies. At fear of death, he literally began to drool and act like a crazy man. Here he was, the King of Israel, acting like he was out of his mind! They took one look at him and said, “Let him go. He’s clearly mad.” Now only chapter’s earlier, this same man had taken out Goliath with one stone! What had happened?

I thought of Elijah. He had confronted that prophets of that witch Jezebel and mocked them to their face. Telling them that the Baal gods, were probably asleep or on vacation and waiting for them to answer. While he dumped water on the altar again and again and God came down with fire!

Yet later, he was running for his life from Jezebel and hiding in a desert. It just didn’t make sense. But of course I know that this is what happens with warfare and the mind. In my own life I have seen the Lord deal with each and every person who has ever threatened me in one way or another. I know He protects me.

And I know that it is true, “deception destroys faith.” I got that message. So it’s important to eat the bread of His word and in The madness of this world will continue. And I felt sorry for those caught in the snare of their own devices.I pray for them to be set free from this deception. Perhaps in their own quiet places, they will climb the snake path all the way to the top, and take the fortress.

“Finally be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes you may be able to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. (Ephesians 6:12-18)

Words In Sand

I was thinking about a story in scripture today. It always resonated with me, because of the profound message which the Lord was trying to convey. And when I see people trying to act ‘all religious,’ I immediately think of the woman caught in adultery.

I absolutely loath many portrayals of Jesus, since they take away from His most human side. Yes, He was God in the flesh, but the flesh, is the part that intrigues me most. He was the example. And if He didn’t go around acting superior and holier than anyone, why should we?

Today, someone was telling me about a teenager’s phone calling him, accidentally. This is a person, who goes to church all the time and loves to talk about the misdeeds of everyone else.  They said, “he had such a potty mouth. His friend and him, were talking and I could hear them cursing. I just thought it was terrible. Meanwhile, I know this person is just as bad. Him and the other person, had recorded the call and played it to each other, and talked about the whole episode, as if it was an unforgivable offense. Now he thought, I would agree, that this was just horrible.

I looked at him and said, “You know, it’s not the outside of a cup that makes it clean.” Reading the discourse in Matthew 23, is a picture of the anger, which Christ had at this hypocrisy. He speaks to the blind leaders. The inside is what needs to be clean. Then the outside will follow.

This guy, just didn’t get it. He stared at me with a blank look. I was pointing out that this is not significant, since none of us are perfect. Without calling him out too much, I hoped he understood, that I wasn’t saying, “Oh who care’s if the kid was cursing?” But  my bigger question was, “Why were you listening? Isn’t that an invasion of his privacy? And then you recorded and played it for someone else?”

Then the natural story that came to my mind was, the woman in found in the Book of John 8. When I read, there are always certain words that seem to pop out at me. For example; v3 standing the woman before a group, was humilitating enough. But being caught, in the act of adultery, even more. Imagine this woman’s circumstances. The punishment for this sin was, death by stoning.

But isn’t this what these men wanted to do to her? Flaunt their superiority and decimate her character. And in the end, have the grounds to end her life. But it begs the question, how did they actually catch her in the act? If, they had not been spying on her first?

Ah yes, the argument today would be for the sake of having the proof to accuse her. But now, look at what the Lord does with this information. H bends down and starts to write on the ground with his finger. How odd. Yes, most people would ask, “Why was He doing this?” But to some of us, we wondering, what was He writing?”

I think that He may have outed,  some of those people, without giving names. Perhaps He wrote their, secret sins, in the sand. But the most obvious, was His calm demeanor, during this whole situation. I am impressed with the time He took to respond. It seems, a great deal of time. And He took a break from His writing. He straightened up,  to utter the famous words; Let any one of you who is without sin, be the first to cast the stone.” This is when He stooped down again.

So, it seems He began His preliminary message, and He stood at eye level to the people He was addressing. And this also allowed the best vantage point, along with the group, read His writing. But then he gave them more time and it may be, to include more of the members. He stooped down to write again, which seemed to give the maximum amount of impact.

Now in verse 8;  At this those who heard, began to go away, one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there.” This is when He asked her, “Has no one condemned you?” She answers, “No one sir.”  “Then neither do I condemn you.” But the last words to her were, “Go now and leave your life of sin.”

I think about the message of redemption in this story. Condemned to die, because of her sin. The enemy of our soul, is called, “The Accuser.” One of his many titles. And he works through humans to constantly remind us of where we screwed up. What we’ve done wrong. How far we’ve missed the mark.

But Christ came to shed His blood as an offering on our behalf. This sacrifice is the greatest gift of love. His blood has, “cleansed us from all sin.

Our sins are like those words, written in the sand. The Wind of Truth, had blown and the sand shifts. It fills in all those areas of darkness and words that condemn.

He cannot lie. He has already told us, “That as far as the east is from the west, I will remember your sins no more.” This always fascinates me. We are human, and although we try to forgive, we can’t really ever forget. It’s not possible. But for God, it is. So, as I’ve heard it said, “if He’s forgotten, why do we keep reminding Him?”

This is the time of the year to reflect on the awesomeness of His sacrifice and what it really means. Passover, Resurrection Day. It is all about Redemption.

Thank you Lord for your great mercy!

Facebook-The Tower of Babel

I heard a commentator mention this evening that it has been an amazing feat. Egypt, being brought together, and Mubarak, stepped down, because of the Social Network, Facebook. And then it came to me; the same thing happened in the beginning, with the Tower of Babel.

I had to be reminded of the end-time prophesy once again. The ‘one-world order’ It is exactly what was happening when the Tower was being built. Man was trying to climb his way to God. His pride was climbing higher and higher and it was self motivated.

The sheer magnitude of this one language was invincible. God Himself made this statement. He came down from heaven and when He saw this, His statement was that these men of one language could do anything, and nothing would be impossible to them. This is how powerful the strength of unity is.

Unwilling to live with tyranny any longer. Abusive power and corruption. Now state-run media could no longer have the decisions and run the show. The television news anchor’s had to tell the truth. For the first time in Egypt’s history, the people had overturned the power.

The Lord told us  time and time again throughout scripture that”where there is unity, there is power.” Conversely, where ever there is division, there is weakness.

So, the propaganda of old was not able to stand against the explosive power behind the networking on Facebook and other social networks. The technology which society longed for, has been its double-edged sword.

In the end, we shall see where it will all lead us. This is the language of the world-wide web. Pictures of revolution don’t need explanation. Now we will see the critical place in history this holds.

As for me, I will continue to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. As I know the ancient blessing applies to all who bless Israel. Blessings for Egypt as well, as they seek peace in their country.
