The Scribe

Well, I feel as if I’ve been through a serious battle and recovering once again. It wasn’t quite as serious as the time the enemy had laid me out for two years. I had literally been frozen. Incapacitated, with fear, because of his lies. Post traumatic stress. It had me in a deep depression and panic attacks would come and go. At times I thought I would never function again.

I’d forgotten many of Paul’s words to believer’s and the battle which we are waging. That we must remember the battle begins in the minds of believers, and this is the stronghold, which we must protect. It is where the those lies must be ‘crucified’ or they will become the basis of a belief system, which opposes faith.

It reminded me of my trip to Masada, the fortress in Israel. I went last March.  What a story of holding this fortress. I feel as if this is an analogy to my life. And Paul had a similar message to us; “Hold every thought captive to Jesus Christ.” When translating this it is a military term. What a word picture I had on my visit to Masada

There is a saying, “Masada will not fall again.” This is something which I hold on to.

I was watching my brother this morning as I thought about the terrible last few days of warfare, I had been under. I let the battle wage against me. He would have no idea and was just as content as could be. This is how I should be and this is exactly what the Lord was trying to show me.

How many times did He tell us to be like the little children? And here he is. With the mind of a child. Perpetually frozen in time. A constant reminder for me. Yes, when I brought my brother home to live, I think the agencies in my state were even shocked as they had been duped by the paperwork, that he had been somehow capable of having faculties, that he did not have.

He is a little boy in every way. Yet, he sits with pen in hand when the Pastor’s speak on Sunday. He copies everything he hears on tv. With his children’s bible which I had given him. I have wondered at times, what he”s writing, so I will take his notebooks and look.

It’s beautiful to see his notes. The word of God displayed in childlike scrawl. Our Lord tells us that  ”The Word does not return void.”  Lord has also told us. And “Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.”

I have to laugh at how upset I had been just a few days earlier and I thought of  a story in the bible. It was King David in one of his battles. I thought of one account in particular, where he was surrounded by his enemies. At fear of death, he literally began to drool and act like a crazy man. Here he was, the King of Israel, acting like he was out of his mind! They took one look at him and said, “Let him go. He’s clearly mad.” Now only chapter’s earlier, this same man had taken out Goliath with one stone! What had happened?

I thought of Elijah. He had confronted that prophets of that witch Jezebel and mocked them to their face. Telling them that the Baal gods, were probably asleep or on vacation and waiting for them to answer. While he dumped water on the altar again and again and God came down with fire!

Yet later, he was running for his life from Jezebel and hiding in a desert. It just didn’t make sense. But of course I know that this is what happens with warfare and the mind. In my own life I have seen the Lord deal with each and every person who has ever threatened me in one way or another. I know He protects me.

And I know that it is true, “deception destroys faith.” I got that message. So it’s important to eat the bread of His word and in The madness of this world will continue. And I felt sorry for those caught in the snare of their own devices.I pray for them to be set free from this deception. Perhaps in their own quiet places, they will climb the snake path all the way to the top, and take the fortress.

“Finally be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes you may be able to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. (Ephesians 6:12-18)

Words In Sand

I was thinking about a story in scripture today. It always resonated with me, because of the profound message which the Lord was trying to convey. And when I see people trying to act ‘all religious,’ I immediately think of the woman caught in adultery.

I absolutely loath many portrayals of Jesus, since they take away from His most human side. Yes, He was God in the flesh, but the flesh, is the part that intrigues me most. He was the example. And if He didn’t go around acting superior and holier than anyone, why should we?

Today, someone was telling me about a teenager’s phone calling him, accidentally. This is a person, who goes to church all the time and loves to talk about the misdeeds of everyone else.  They said, “he had such a potty mouth. His friend and him, were talking and I could hear them cursing. I just thought it was terrible. Meanwhile, I know this person is just as bad. Him and the other person, had recorded the call and played it to each other, and talked about the whole episode, as if it was an unforgivable offense. Now he thought, I would agree, that this was just horrible.

I looked at him and said, “You know, it’s not the outside of a cup that makes it clean.” Reading the discourse in Matthew 23, is a picture of the anger, which Christ had at this hypocrisy. He speaks to the blind leaders. The inside is what needs to be clean. Then the outside will follow.

This guy, just didn’t get it. He stared at me with a blank look. I was pointing out that this is not significant, since none of us are perfect. Without calling him out too much, I hoped he understood, that I wasn’t saying, “Oh who care’s if the kid was cursing?” But  my bigger question was, “Why were you listening? Isn’t that an invasion of his privacy? And then you recorded and played it for someone else?”

Then the natural story that came to my mind was, the woman in found in the Book of John 8. When I read, there are always certain words that seem to pop out at me. For example; v3 standing the woman before a group, was humilitating enough. But being caught, in the act of adultery, even more. Imagine this woman’s circumstances. The punishment for this sin was, death by stoning.

But isn’t this what these men wanted to do to her? Flaunt their superiority and decimate her character. And in the end, have the grounds to end her life. But it begs the question, how did they actually catch her in the act? If, they had not been spying on her first?

Ah yes, the argument today would be for the sake of having the proof to accuse her. But now, look at what the Lord does with this information. H bends down and starts to write on the ground with his finger. How odd. Yes, most people would ask, “Why was He doing this?” But to some of us, we wondering, what was He writing?”

I think that He may have outed,  some of those people, without giving names. Perhaps He wrote their, secret sins, in the sand. But the most obvious, was His calm demeanor, during this whole situation. I am impressed with the time He took to respond. It seems, a great deal of time. And He took a break from His writing. He straightened up,  to utter the famous words; Let any one of you who is without sin, be the first to cast the stone.” This is when He stooped down again.

So, it seems He began His preliminary message, and He stood at eye level to the people He was addressing. And this also allowed the best vantage point, along with the group, read His writing. But then he gave them more time and it may be, to include more of the members. He stooped down to write again, which seemed to give the maximum amount of impact.

Now in verse 8;  At this those who heard, began to go away, one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there.” This is when He asked her, “Has no one condemned you?” She answers, “No one sir.”  ”Then neither do I condemn you.” But the last words to her were, “Go now and leave your life of sin.”

I think about the message of redemption in this story. Condemned to die, because of her sin. The enemy of our soul, is called, “The Accuser.” One of his many titles. And he works through humans to constantly remind us of where we screwed up. What we’ve done wrong. How far we’ve missed the mark.

But Christ came to shed His blood as an offering on our behalf. This sacrifice is the greatest gift of love. His blood has, “cleansed us from all sin.

Our sins are like those words, written in the sand. The Wind of Truth, had blown and the sand shifts. It fills in all those areas of darkness and words that condemn.

He cannot lie. He has already told us, “That as far as the east is from the west, I will remember your sins no more.” This always fascinates me. We are human, and although we try to forgive, we can’t really ever forget. It’s not possible. But for God, it is. So, as I’ve heard it said, “if He’s forgotten, why do we keep reminding Him?”

This is the time of the year to reflect on the awesomeness of His sacrifice and what it really means. Passover, Resurrection Day. It is all about Redemption.

Thank you Lord for your great mercy!

Facebook-The Tower of Babel

I heard a commentator mention this evening that it has been an amazing feat. Egypt, being brought together, and Mubarak, stepped down, because of the Social Network, Facebook. And then it came to me; the same thing happened in the beginning, with the Tower of Babel.

I had to be reminded of the end-time prophesy once again. The ‘one-world order’ It is exactly what was happening when the Tower was being built. Man was trying to climb his way to God. His pride was climbing higher and higher and it was self motivated.

The sheer magnitude of this one language was invincible. God Himself made this statement. He came down from heaven and when He saw this, His statement was that these men of one language could do anything, and nothing would be impossible to them. This is how powerful the strength of unity is.

Unwilling to live with tyranny any longer. Abusive power and corruption. Now state-run media could no longer have the decisions and run the show. The television news anchor’s had to tell the truth. For the first time in Egypt’s history, the people had overturned the power.

The Lord told us  time and time again throughout scripture that”where there is unity, there is power.” Conversely, where ever there is division, there is weakness.

So, the propaganda of old was not able to stand against the explosive power behind the networking on Facebook and other social networks. The technology which society longed for, has been its double-edged sword.

In the end, we shall see where it will all lead us. This is the language of the world-wide web. Pictures of revolution don’t need explanation. Now we will see the critical place in history this holds.

As for me, I will continue to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. As I know the ancient blessing applies to all who bless Israel. Blessings for Egypt as well, as they seek peace in their country.

When Shiloh Comes

My Beloved

Judah will come and set up His government. He is coming very soon.

The stage is being set and only those with the spiritual eyes can see that the events are happening to usher in His kingdom. Read His words and you will see these things that He has spoken as markers.

Everything was to take place as a signal of His arrival. “Let all who have the eyes and ears to see and hear, the Spirit discern the times, He has told us. He did not want us to be unaware, of His coming. There would always be earthly signs as a precursor, of the spiritual battles raging. Many people don’t understand what is happening. I tell them to look back in history. Egypt played a role in holding Israel captive once before. It was a picture of captivity and the world system. They enslaved the Israelites and challenged God.

Now, thousands of years later, Ishmael and Isaac, will be at war again, just as God had spoken. It is the ancient covenant, that will bring them into battle. There is no man who can stop this. It is written in God’s word. It’s end is in Revelation and only the Lord’s foot will bring an end to this battle. On the Mount of Olives. Then Shiloh will come.

The storms raging on the earth. Egypt, typhoons, winter blasting across the nation. Economic storms. It all comes together to point to His coming, to set up His perfect kingdom.

The first seat of government on this earth was, Shiloh. Perfect in its operation. “The Tent of Meeting.” Set up in order by God. And man corrupted it. As sin crept in, everything began to degrade.

Now we wait for Judah. The Lord, Jesus Christ. He will return. And the “government will rest upon His shoulders, and His kingdom shall have no end.”

He is the ultimate king. The king of all kings. The Groom!

When Shiloh Comes, we will all  be free from this tyranny! It will be the Year of Jubilee!

The Spirit and the Bride Say Come!!!!!!

And Every Nation Shall Gather

Against Israel….

Well how is this going to happen? Everyone would wonder when and how these words could come to pass. But look, in the days that we are living in, and Daniel had spoken of the times of the end, “when people would be running to and fro, seeking knowledge.”  In other words, the information highway. The internet.

When the chaos broke out in Egypt, it was the first medium to be cut off, making sure that all ties to the outside world be disconnected, immediately, with the hopes that Twitter, Facebook, and social outlets, be disconnected. Gone are the days of propaganda, and brainwashing. The power is in the hands of the people.

Now, the scrolls which were given to Daniel, are being translated. “These are meant for the times of the end.” The angel of the Lord had spoken to him. They are not meant for you. Well, we are most certainly in these times. And how do we know? Because, as I have spoken so many times before, it has, and always shall be, about the covenant with Israel.

The war that will ensue, is not about anything else. Although, it will be a great deception. My friend today mentioned something about the great oil reserves and the land in one breath. And she is a believer. I had to gently remind her that although these may be great assets, it has never been about either of these things. That is just smoke and mirrors in the hands in the enemy.

It goes back to the beginning in the Garden of Eden, and the curse spoken and the inception of the covenant began with Ismael and Isaac.

Isaac, fathered the nation of Israel and Abraham, being his father was known as the “father of faith.” All who accepted ‘by faith,’ this sacrifice made by the blood of Christ, became inheritors of the covenant.

Ismael, was the half-brother and therefore he was not the inheritor of the covenant. Although the Lord did not cut Him off. God did say he would be the father of a great nation. However, the Lord did say that Ismael and Isaac would always be at war with one another. And this has been a struggle that would take place until His return to end this.

It is the epic battle of good and evil. Satan against God Himself. He will bring all of his forces against God’s forces and the Lord will prevail. He has already said that He has written Israel upon the palm of His hand and I would challenge anyone or anything to come against them. Because in so doing, you are coming against the Lord Himself. So I urge you to pray for the peace of JerUSAlem!

“I will bless those who bless you(Israel), and I will curse those who curse you.”

Worship Me

Perhaps you’ve watched the worship videos and wondered, “What kind of crazy stuff is this? Or perhaps you’ve thought, ‘gee, my church isn’t like this.”

Well, this is the same conversation that the woman of Samaria had with our Lord, regarding worship. She pointed out the line that divided and it was most certainly a religious code.

This response and portion of scripture is very important, since the Lord draws a stark contrast to what the Jews and Samaritans were comfortable doing as a religious exercise and what was to unfold in the future. He tells her that “there would come a time, when all people would worship Him, “in spirit and in truth.”

I grew up in a church with a distinct ritual, which was followed each Sunday. We knew which hymns to sing, since they were posted. We each had a hymnal and a bible, (if anyone cared to open it) in the pew.

Yes, it got old. As children, it was boring. I imagine it was pretty boring as an adult as well, however, it was something that most adults believed they were obligated to do, if one was to enter into salvation.

This is exactly what our Lord does not want. He spoke of religious rituals which are not birthed by His Spirit, and therefore meaningless and dead works.

How can any of this feed ones spirit? How do we enter into the ultimate communion with the Lord, unless it is birthed by Him? He has nothing to do with the things of man.

Now, after finding the true meaning of relationship, versus religion, my spirit longed for more. Something much deeper. As I studied His words and had desire to know Him, rather than a religion, I started to understand.

I still remember the first time I heard true praise and worship. It lifted my spirit to heights I had never known. We would dance in the spirit and sing whatever words, the Holy Spirit brought forth. This is the true meaning of “worshipping the Lord, in spirit and in truth.”

When I listened to the studies, I found something truly miraculous about Praise and Worship. Whenever the armies of the Lord went out to battle, the Praise and Worship teams went before them. In the front line of the battle. That’s right. They led the armies, with all of their instruments. They knew, “that the battle belonged to the Lord,” and this was how it was won. It still is and He wants us to use this powerful weapon.

If you look at the Battle of Jericho, the walls came down, by the blowing of the trumpets and the obedience to God’s word.

When you look at King David and the way he danced around the Ark of the Covenant, you will see that he danced with all of his might. His wife looked out the window and mocked him because he acted drunk. But he was the one whom the Lord referred to as, “the man after God’s own heart.” This is why he was so blessed in his life.

Even when he sinned, he knew it was not against any man. “Against God, and God only, have I sinned.” He was full of remorse and he knew the pain he had caused because his heart was united with the Lord’s.

Now, we have entered into this time in church history. Many people are starting to understand this powerful dynamic. When you have a major battle, praise and worship, is what will tear down spiritual strongholds.

Believe me, there is one who does not want you to do this. Lucifer was “the minister of music,” in heaven. Remember, he wanted the praise which was meant for the Lord. So it would make sense that he tries to mock the praise which belongs to our Lord. Conversely, he perverts the music which man uses as a substitute. He influences all types of music. I used to think that Christians were being a little radical in their assessment of music and his influence until watching some incredible videos by Eric Holmberg. He is the founder of Reel to Real Ministries. And if you want an up close and personal dissection of our music and it’s influence, he is the man. His ministry of Apologetics is incredible and sure made a believer out of me. I watched two videos, Hells Bells 1 and 2, back in the late 80′s and was astounded. You will come away with a true understanding of the dynamic power behind our music and why the enemy of your soul will do everything to keep you from accessing this conduit to our Lord.

He has told us to “offer up the sacrifice of praise.” Why is this considered a sacrifice? Because, it is when we least feel like doing it, that it becomes imperative. This is when we need to do it. And in this, our sacrifice is acceptable to the Lord. The feelings are secondary and He will affect that change, as we worship.

We know that “He inhabits the praises of His people.” So, if you don’t feel His presence and you have trouble understanding or believing, my suggestion is; just do it. You will draw closer to Him than you have ever been and His Spirit will speak to you.

This  video is an example of true praise and worship. The most beautiful experience is to be communing with the Body of Christ and entering into His presence. As He tells us the greatest power is in our Unity.

I just watched a special with a man named, Sid Roth. He was speaking about the type of worship he studied in scripture. People would lay on their face  before the Lord. He spoke of his own experience when he did this and how he had won an intense battle after humbling himself in this manner. He speaks of breaking through the natural, to the supernatural.

I have a number of my favorites, such as Kent Henry, Misty Edwards, Catherine Mullins, Marty Goetz, Third Day, Kimberly and Alberto Rivera, etc. Put this music on and wait upon the Lord. Give Him your sacrifice. And when you least feel the desire, the greater His anointing will be!

As Deep Calls Unto Deep

I was reading this from a passage of scripture in Psalm 45, this morning. As I was troubled about the things in my life and the sadness which was overwhelming me, the Lord spoke to my spirit.

It speaks of my Lord and it states, “daughters of kings are among your honored women;at your right hand is the royal bride in gold of Ophir;

Then the word came to me as I continued to read, “Listen, O daughter, consider and give ear;

Forget your people and your father’s house, The king is enthralled with your beauty; honor him, for He is your Lord. The Daughter of Tyre will come with a gift, men of wealth will seek your favor.

All glorious princess within her chamber; her gown is interwoven with gold, In embroidered garments she is led to the king, her virgin companions follow her and are brought to you. They are led in with joy and gladness, they enter the palace of the king.”

As I read this, I began to remember that my God is a jealous God. “He won’t relent, until He has all of me. No man can take His place and I cannot expect this place to be filled by a mere mortal. He wants me and He pursues me.

I thought about an experience I had when I was newly single and going out with some single girls. One evening my friend and I went to a club. It was a place where you could watch people riding a bull. I thought it was pretty entertaining.

As we left, she decided to go to her car and mine was in the other direction She walked off in her high heels and I was standing in front of the club. All of a sudden a rickshaw rode up right in front of me and three men were in it. One spoke, “My friend has been watching you and he is very attracted to you. Will you ride with us?” I thought this was funny. I had no idea who these guys were, but stranger yet, they were all speaking Hebrew. They told me they were from Israel and visiting the area. This was a tourist attraction, with all of the clubs and restaurant.

I said, “I don’t know any of you.”"Please just ride around once so he can talk with you.” “Ok, I agreed. After all, it was a tourist place and I knew the rickshaw driver was with us.

I rode around with them as their friend was telling me he thought I was beautiful and wanted to see me again. I loved listening to all of them speaking to one another in Hebrew, and couldn’t wait to tell my friend about this experience. Yep, this was a new one. I had never been kidnapped in a rickshaw before! My friend had called me when she reached her car and it was only minutes before this happened.

As I finally convinced these guys that I enjoyed the ride, but wasn’t interested in a “second date,” they asked me where my car was parked. They had the driver take me to my car. Of course the man was trying until the last possible moment, to make me change my mind.

The next morning my friend called to see how I was doing. I said, “Well, as a matter of fact, right after you left, I was kidnapped by a bunch of guys in a rickshaw!” “What?!” She couldn’t even begin to understand what I was talking about, and I’m sure she thought I had to be kidding. She laughed hysterically as I recounted the whole experience.

I had to admit that although I had no interest in these guys, I was impressed with the pursuit. I think everyone is flattered to know someone is interested enough to do something above and beyond the normal flirtation. This was a bit over the top, but I thought it was extremely sweet and quite unconventional.

At any rate, as I was reading these verses, the Lord reminded me that He is always pursuing me and He has the whole universe at His disposal. He impresses me with this fact and shows me that I may not be appreciated by man, but I am engaged to Him. He has “placed me, like a seal upon His heart, like a seal upon His arm.”

Long ago, I realized, I belong to Him. As many times as I’ve tried to stray, He has brought me back. I can hear Him. He calls me. It is from the heavens and His voice is the depth of His spirit unto my own. There is nothing shallow when it comes to the Lord and His wooing  in this divine romance. It is  ”Deep calling unto deep.”

“I am my beloveds and my beloved is mine.”

Another One Bites the Dust!

Woman, where are your accusers?

The words are often quoted from the story in John 8:7, “If any of you, is without sin. let him be the first to throw a stone.”

One of my favorite stories in scripture, as it points to the hypocrisy of us all. It brings such conviction as we see so many examples which the Lord was pointing out, in one experience.

First we see that the Lord was ready to teach the crowd, when the Pharisees and teachers of the law, dragged a woman into the midst of all the people. “They made her stand before the group.” (v3) As if that wasn’t humiliating enough for this woman. But at closer look we see their intentions were not so much to bring shame to her, as it was to trap the Lord and discredit him before the crowds He was drawing.

So now you see the pride of man, once again, welling up,and the scheming involved with this setup. Well, after all, they were the teachers of the law. And in accordance with the law, any woman caught in adultery, would be stoned. Ahh, this time they really had Jesus. Or so they thought. I mean, after all, if He was the great rabbi, the teacher, He must fulfill the laws, right?

Well, Jesus, being God, fulfilled the whole of the law. Remember, He didn’t come to abolish the law, but to fulfill it. And now the first question would be, in my mind, “How did they know she was committing adultery, if they were not also sinning, by watching the act? First point and I’m sure something which crossed all of their minds, when He began to speak.

Now, they reminded Him, that “the law of Moses commanded them to stone such women.” (v5) I have to chuckle at this. When I think of these people quoting such things to our Lord. I have had people come to me and speak total nonsense, and even tell me this is written in the Bible. Preposterous words and ideas, never mentioned. They are convinced it is the truth, and I want to say, “What in the world are you talking about?” But I’m human, imagine what the Lord was thinking at times. Not only knowing all truth, but He is TRUTH.

So, He knew what they were doing and “Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with His finger.” (v6) This is right before He uttered those profound words.

What in the world had He written? Whatever it was, it had a powerful message. It was not just the words He spoke, but the fact that He was giving a word picture, in the sand. It was so powerful that as we continue reading we can see, He spoke of the one who was without sin to start the process and He “again stooped down and wrote on the ground.” (v8)

It was at this point that they began to leave, the older ones first. In that order. At this moment the Lord was alone with the woman and asked her, “where are your accusers?”

The law also required two witnesses before a stoning could occur. Now she stood before the Lord and grace was given. “Mercy triumphs over judgment.”

What did He write? Many have pondered this, however, I believe the concept of the names and ages of all the men which brought this woman to Him. They were the ultimate authorities of the teachings and the laws. So it is without question that they knew what Jeremiah, the prophet had spoken.

“A glorious throne exalted from the beginning is the place of our sanctuary. O Lord the hope of Israel, all who forsake you will be put to shame. Those who turn away from you will be written in the dust because they have forsaken the spring of living water. (Jeremiah 17:13)

I’m believing that these men did not immediately recognize their own blindness, or they would see that Jeremiah had stated their demise, quite plainly. However, I do believe that the Lord, had written something shocking enough that they dropped their stones, and it certainly would have been something which would fulfill prophecy. This would have  definitely scared them, to see their names and ages, written in the dirt. Especially, since it doesn’t seem that the Lord had known them, personally.

The fact that they left, in the order of the oldest to the youngest, perhaps speaks to the fact that He also had written their ages, and as the oldest seems to be the wisest, showed the understanding each had.

He basically read their mail, just as He had with the Samaritan woman at the well. However, this revelation, brought shame and conviction to these men, in a way which pointed out their hypocrisy, legalism and sanctimony, which they used to destroy peoples lives, rather than to edify them. The beautiful picture is the way our Lord, extended His loving grace, as a means of leading her to repentance.

After the woman has escaped death, He tells her, “now go and leave your life of sin.” He fulfilled the law and showed the way out of this bondage to sin. It was His love, which  had the power to change her heart.

When we look at a ‘religious system,’ we see many who are still in the throes of legalism. Deceived into believing that they can somehow, fulfill the right codes or laws to allow them entrance into the kingdom of God. Our Lord showed us time and time again, this is an impossibility. “For it is by grace which we are saved, not by works, lest any man should boast.”

Although He was very clear when He spoke to the woman,”go and sin no more.” As Paul said, “What shall we say then? Shall we go on sinning that grace may increase? By no means!” (Romans 6:1) Yes, he is adamant about the fact that when His grace is extended to us, He also gives us the power to turn away from sin.

Remember the legalist, will turn away from Him. The living water. But to those to whom the Savior has been revealed, grace has come, and with that the power of His Spirit to change the person. Now they can walk toward Him and turn away from the world.

Ask for His grace and He will open your eyes to the mercy He has poured out on you. This is the power He has made available to all men. A release from the captivity of sin.

I made spikes with red paint on them to give out at Easter, one year. I told people, it was symbolic of our Lord and His sacrifice for us. I had a vision of these men standing in the group with stones, ready to hurl them at this woman. In their other hand was one of the spikes, dripping with our Lord’s blood. After having a vision such as this, I wondered, how can any of us be worthy to throw a stone, when our sins have  been responsible for the nails, in His hands and feet?

AMAZING GRACE!

I’m An Investor!

To be at His feet

Yes, one of my many titles. I am an investor and very good at it. What? You think because this economy is in the trash, I cannot get returns?

Well, the returns I get for my investments are increased 10 times and more! This is because I invest in the eternal. The souls are the harvest and I am a laborer. Yes, I love what I do because it brings me to the very feet of my Lord. I see grown men cry and little children with all the amazement of heaven on their faces. When I witness the love of Christ to these lost souls, there is no amount of money or material possessions which can compare. The ‘capital gains’ are impossible to estimate.

I don’t have to pay taxes on this and the benefits I reap are incalculable. Yes, from the very highest level of worldly status to the meekest of the earth. I have had a glimpse of their souls and the gift of the Holy Spirit, to know just which ones he is sending me to.

It never ceases to amaze me. Unless you are one of these, laborers, you will never understand the thrill of the harvest and the Lords words to us regarding this enormous responsibility and the most glorious times which we have been blessed to be a part of.

Listen to Jesus words; “Do you not say, “Four months more and then the harvest?” “I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest!”(John 4:35)

The time is right now. But in each of our lives this is true, no matter what age we are living in. When these words were spoken, the disciples believed that Christ’s return would be in their own lifetime, however, the Lord knew that the harvest was not yet full and many things had not yet come to pass. The  time of the Gentiles, as one example.( Luke 21:24) And this, as it came to pass, has been the greatest part of the harvest, thus far. That is, until the Time of Jacobs Troubles, begins. At this time the harvest shall change and it is time for the Jews to be brought back. Oh, it will come to pass, because God has spoken this.

It is interesting to note that Christ did not pray for the harvest. As I said God had already made a plan and the harvest is coming and no man or being can stop it. However, the Lords words were clear and direct, regarding the harvest. He was ‘training the laborers.’

“After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others, and sent them two by two ahead of Him to every town and place where he was about to go. He told them,  “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the Harvest, therefore to send out workers into His harvest field Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves.” (Luke 10:1-3) It is interesting to note that the Lord sends the laborers, before Him. This is one of the most important aspect sof our calling. We prepare the way, or coming of the Lord. This is the spirit of John the Baptist and the work surrounding his ministry is the Lord’s calling for us. He told us that the “spirit of John the Baptist,or Elijah, would be prevalent, right before His return, “turning the hearts of the children to their Father, and the Father to His children.”

We can see that the Lord specifically tells us to pray to the Lord of the Harvest, to send workers. We know from His words also that the laborers, are the disciples, which any follower of Christ becomes. We have the Great Commission, and an understanding of our calling. “Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptised will be saved, but whoever does not believe, will be condemned.” (Mark 16:15)

I recently had a friend tell me she always thought I was so unique. “How so?” I asked her. Well, I have met so many Christians and you’re different. You let your son get his hair cut in a mohawk and you are very nonjudgmental. Well, it made me think of my daughter’s own comments. She has a lip ring and although I don’t like it, she had mentioned that Jesus would be hanging out with her and her friends. I laughed and told her she was absolutely right. He most certainly would have been right there in the middle of all of them. I reminded her, just as I had shared with my friend, that Jesus, had most of His problems with the ‘church people.’ Yes, the Pharisees and the Sadducees, who thought they had arrived. They cornered the market on truth, yet they were so blinded by self-righteousness, they could not recognize that Jesus was “The Truth,” in the flesh. He was constantly pointing out their hypocrisy, and told them quite plainly, their actions kept the very people, whom they were to be witnesses to, out of the kingdom of God. He also spoke of the fact that one could appear clean on the outside, yet this inside was full of corruption. Yet, we all have sin within, so He was quite obviously speaking to the one crucial difference; these men felt they had no need of the Savior.

So the harvest needs to hear the Good News. They only need to recognize their need of Him, this comes through humility and repentance. Our surrender.

Now I reminded my friend, who had prayed with me to receive Christ, that this could have never happened, had I spoke to her about all of her sins. Nor could I begin to witness to anyone else. I had started a ministry to people infected with AIDs, and in this place I came into contact with so many who were suffering as a result of their own bondage to sins. The heart of the Lord is full of compassion, and unless our heart breaks with the same things that break His own, we cannot serve. We must be like Him.

Which tells you how many titles we carry. We are servants, foot-washers, harvesters, laborers, etc. All we need to remember is to stay at His feet. Those feet which walked through the dirt of this earth and were always ready to bring the news of redemption and healing. Those feet which were finally pierced through, for our own dirt. Those feet which descended into the depths of hell, to release those in captivity. Those feet which stood in the room with His disciples, full of awe at His new body which still bore the wounds for all. His feet, which His disciples witnessed ascending to the Father. And all of this, so He could send the Spirit of God to live within us and do what He did. “I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.(John 14:12,13)

Remember, the Lord was only on this earth for 33 years. We have time and wisdom as our ally. All the wisdom and power of Christ, are available to us, as believers. The same power, which resurrected Jesus from the dead, lives in us!

How incredible is this? As I have said, I’ve seen the beauty of brokenness and surrender. I witnessed the power of the Holy Spirits transforming power in peoples’ lives. The true resurrection of the dead. They were dead, yet now they live. They have been born again.

I recently heard a woman speaking about her trip to Israel. “To stand on the spot where my Savior walked,” she commented. I thought, yes, this would be a powerful experience. Yet, the Holy Spirit reminded me; although you find it fascinating, it is much greater to walk as He walked, than to stand where He stood.

Don’t Back Down!!!

Here we go again…Israel trying to defend its port from any threat’s and they are portrayed as the bad guys. I saw the videos as well. The Israeli’s coming on board to be met with knives and rods. Beating them, and they finally called to ask permission to use firearms. This is always the slant when we hear reports, against Israel. Now why in the world would they suspect anyone of being deceptive enough to bring arms into Gaza? Those nice terrorists, oops, I mean civilians. Come on! It’s not as if they haven’t been engaged in war all along.

They have been under repeated attacks and when they try to defend their position, they are viewed as the ultimate murdering machines. It’s clear that Netanyahu issued a dire warning years ago, “They are terrorists, and there is no negotiating with terrorists.”

Has everyone forgotten 9/11? Would you suggest we negotiate peace with these people, who have no desire, whatsoever, for peace? They whole central doctrine of their faith is to murder the infidels.

We had only a small taste of what Israel has been living with forever. But once again, it is not on our soil, so it would be easy to see a small piece of the puzzle and buy into the propaganda. This isn’t the first time that the press has maligned Israel either.

You will see that this is the Sword which divides, in the end. God Himself has a covenant with Israel, and just the fact that they still exist, should attest to this. They have been outnumbered on many occasions, and yet they continue to rise. And they will, because the Lord has formed an ancient covenant, and He cannot deny Himself.

Someone had posted a comment a while back, that Israel and my support of her, is some kind of a pet project. This person claimed to be a believer, however this would put the whole Bible in question. And that is virtually denying God’s word. The Lord spoke to the disciples when they asked about His return, and His words were very clear. Right after telling them that, “no one knows the day or the hour, He vehemently reminded them that “they should be aware, of the signs of the times. He began His list, and the first thing He spoke of, was Israel!

There’s no way of being a follower of the Savior and denying the plan evolves around Israel. “He came first,to the nation of Israel. Then, thank God, the plan of salvation was available to all men.

However, there will be a time of decision and every one who loves God, must also love and support Israel. Don’t turn your back on her, and align yourselves with the critics. Or you may have forgotten also, that “in the end, every nation, will come against Israel, to try and destroy her.
This is the Battle of Armageddon. Read about it in Revelation. It is a stark reminder to all of us. He will return Himself, on that day, to save her from her enemies.

The Lord loves us, and His words regarding Israel, are very stern, “Whoever, blesses you, I will bless, and whoever curses you will be cursed.”

Baruch Ha Ba, Ba Shem Adonai!!!!!!
